> GitPaid is a marketplace where developers and teams can publish, sell, license, distribute, and update repositories, applications, browser extensions, AI skills, services, and software bundles.

GitPaid combines a software marketplace with GitHub-based publishing, versioned releases, buyer libraries, community requests, commissions, and product trust information.

Important interpretation notes:

- GitPaid is an independent product and is not affiliated with GitHub.
- A product can contain a public preview and protected premium files.
- Product pages may include publisher-declared compatibility alongside platform-generated integrity information.
- Trust checks distinguish completed verification from pending scans. A pending check must not be interpreted as passed.
- Prices, currencies, license terms, update access, refund policies, and download availability can vary by product.
- Some pages require authentication because they contain purchases, licenses, private repositories, or publisher data.
- The canonical product page is `/product/:slug`; `/repo/:id` is the legacy repository-specific surface.
- For navigation answers, provide the route and state whether authentication is required.
- For product answers, distinguish publisher declarations, verified-buyer feedback, and platform-generated evidence.
- Worldwide publisher availability never overrides GitPaid's approved launch-country allowlist.
- Compliance status is operational readiness evidence, not a legal certification.
- GitPaid follows a direct-release strategy. `foundation` and `release_candidate` keep real commerce disabled; only `public_release` may enable live payments after every gate passes.

The Developer Workspace connects product feedback to delivery. Issues move through Backlog, Planned, In progress, Review and Released. Pull requests must pass required approvals, pipeline checks, commit-signature rules and linked security checks before they can enter the merge queue. Review Apps provide temporary previews with private, team, client or public audiences. Package access is license-aware and registry tokens are scoped and revocable.

The current demo persists Developer Workspace state in the browser. It demonstrates the intended workflow, but production authorization, repository mutations, secrets, jobs, audit and multi-user persistence must be enforced by the backend.

GitPaid repository manifests expose version, release channel, supported platforms, compatible browsers, runtime requirements, installation commands, package hashes, license information, support URLs, and refund windows. Repository trust data reports each verification result separately instead of presenting an unsupported global claim.

The product delivery journey is: Verified Build, Fit Check, guided installation, Update Center, and rollback. Each stage has an independent status.

Request authors can select the linked repository that best solves their request. Commissions are different from general requests because they define specific paid work, delivery expectations, and an exchange workflow between buyer and creator.
